History

Elgin Community College was founded on January 10, 1949, in a wing of Elgin High School. Since then, it has grown into a nationally recognized institution offering 130 degrees and certificates. The college provides numerous transfer agreements with top universities and prepares students for immediate employment in rewarding careers.
